Overview
The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is working to improve adult literacy and high school equivalency programs. The Department of Education, Literacy and Institutional Services Division is looking to address challenges and opportunities related to adult literacy, foundational literacy, and high-school equivalency in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Government aims to gather valuable insights, opinions, and recommendations from the community to inform the next steps for adult literacy in our province.
Government will:
- Explore the current state of adult literacy in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Seek input on existing adult literacy programs and their effectiveness.
- Gather suggestions on potential improvements and strategies to enhance adult literacy in the province.
- Discuss the role of government, community organizations, and individuals in advancing adult literacy.
